What is Plater Network?
First of all, we want to say “Hi!” to all of our supporters. We are extremely glad to have you on board, and that you decided to participate in this amazing journey of launching PLATER token.
Because we want to make things clear to every single person here, let us provide you with some details about the PLATER initiative and what is it all about.
Plater Network is a privately held company and innovative enterprise with a noble goal of building a blockchain-based, diffused network for secure confidential information flow. We aim to use the network of blocks to assure the safest place where people are able to share their vulnerable information (including documents, details, etc), directly to another user of our closed ecosystem.
How is that possible? Thanks to the power of blockchain, which provides many unique features, such as peer-to-peer transactions, permanence and transparency, surveillance and censorship resistance, and foremost highest security. We want to exclude any third-parties interference from the process of data sharing as it takes place currently (for example in email systems, social media, SMS, cloud). And now we are able to do so!
What’s the plan?
It all sounds amazing, but of course, there is a lot of hard work to perform. Initially, it is planned to launch an Initial Decentralized Exchange Offering (IDO) to raise some capital for further actions.
Then Plater Network will start building the Plater Information Flow System, which is essentially the fundament of Plater Network technology.
After this, the team plans to cooperate with many corporations and major enterprises with the hope to increase the awareness of data security importance and assure it to people in as many industries as possible.
Technology Overview
How the Plater Information Flow System (PIFS) works, though? It is still ‘under development’ because the team has not yet decided if PIFS is going to be based on an existing blockchain or it is going to develop its own.
However, some general concepts and frameworks have been established and we will gladly explain them in this article!
File Transferring Concept
The main objective is to develop an information flow software based on blockchain technology to prevent the surveillance and influence of third-party entities on vulnerable information. It will be our small contribution to shape a bright and more equal future. The concept is based on the transactions settled between particular nodes. The sender and receiver are the nodes in this case together with a validation node that confirms the transaction. The usage of the Interplanetary File System was rejected to provide an independent Plater Information Flow System.
The sender uploads the file, document, or information. This information gets encrypted, and the document hash is assigned. After verification of the transaction accordance and keys of both, sender and receiver, the information can be securely transferred through the blockchain. Plater Information Flow System (PIFS) is software being developed by Plater Network company to make secure information flow possible. Currently, most companies focus on messaging systems controlled by centralized authority (i.e., e-mails, social communication platforms). The Plater Network stands out and provides the solution bringing the PIFS which initiates the next generation of information flow.
Consensus mechanisms
While developing the Plater Network the delegated-proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus will be used to ensure the highest liquidity and security of the blockchain for an IDO. The Plater Information Flow System also relies on a proof-of-capacity/proof-of-storage consensus mechanism, which allows uploading files to Plater Network.
We aim to provide the best services. Therefore, in a development process, the use of a new consensus mechanism cannot be excluded.
